Consulting
In order for an organizational development firm to be effective and efficient, it must have a clear picture of not only its own vision and mission, but a clear understanding of the vision and mission of the organization it serves. The Kolbe Company is such an organizational development firm specializing in public agency consulting. Dedicated to frankly, honestly, ethically and confidentially serving its clients' goals and objectives.
The Kolbe Company representatives empathetically listen to clients' concerns and conscientiously analyze their needs. These needs are respectfully addressed and confidently approached through a comprehensive client-centered program. During all interventions, our facilitators acquaint client personnel with the principles, methods, and techniques being applied so that the improvements suggested or installed can be properly managed and continued after the program's completion date.
Our client-centered program was inspired by W. Warner Burke's definition of organizational development. Simply put, organizational development is a process that attempts increased organizational effectiveness through planned growth and change efforts related to an organization's mission. The Kolbe Company facilitates this process through a five-part client/consultant interaction.- Diagnosis - In order to diagnose the problem, data is collected through a pretest of confidential interviews and carefully selected survey instruments. The data is then analyzed and organized in written form that presents preliminary conclusions and recommendations.
- Feedback - In an effort to arrive at a final diagnosis that accurately describes the current state of the organization and a clear definition of the problem, preliminary conclusions and recommendations are discussed by members of the organization and the consultant.
- Change - Assisted by the consultant, the client arrives at a final decision for planning change. This plan includes alternative options.
- Intervention - Consultant implements change through utilization of a wide variety of tools.
- Monitoring - Post surveys to determine the success and effectiveness of the interaction are administered at appropriate time intervals (generally six months).
